CRANE TRACK REPLACED ACCURATELY

For one of our customers MIT replaced a crane track including an improvement of the subsurface. The rails of the crane were worn and partially not of correct dimensions. The subsurface of these tracks was a challenge to work on. On the one side the crane track lay on a sand-based surface and to the other side, on a concrete surface. Of course in this whole operation we had to achieve one and the same height level of the rails.

In two stages the rails have been removed. At first the concrete part has been addressed, for which the floor has been completely stripped from plates and fixing means. New steel plates have been mounted and undercasted. On this basis, a new rail profile was placed in the right position.

In the second phase the old material, including old sleepers and stelcon plates were removed and a fine new sand-stones ground has been deposited. The new sleepers and rails lock tightly and seamlessly with the first part.
