This made the crane, which after some minor changes still was in very good condition, again up to date according to today\u2019s standards. Since the crane structure still functioned fine, a new crane would have been a disproportionate investment.<\/p>\n<p>Now MIT has revived this crane through a complete replacement of the electrical installation. Including the necessary engineering, supply and installation of controllers, the motors, adding a load measuring system and of course an emergency stop circuit.
